John founded Harrington Earl Estate Agents with Steve Earl in 1999 with the intention of creating a boutique agency attuned to their clients needs. A smart corporate image was established offering fresh ideas and smart new approach which immediately made an impact on the inner Melbourne real estate market. Being without the constraints of a franchise John has been keen to follow his own path producing a string of outstanding results and winning customers with a peerless level of service. Having been in the real estate industry since 1985 his passion is obviously property however he manages to combine this with his other loves - family, friends, travelling Australia and scuba diving to create a wonderfully balanced lifestyle.

Steve joined John Harrington in establishing Harrington Earl Estate Agents during 1999 bringing with him 18 years experience and a commitment to excellence. A person of great commitment and passion Steve lives in North Fitzroy and is strongly involved in Rotary, the Fitzroy Football Club and the Fitzroy Bowling Club. With 2 sports mad children you may also see Steve in the Edinburgh Gardens having a vigorous kick of the football with Lochie (Lachlan) or shooting a few hoops with Melissa.

Leye (Pronounced Lee) commenced his real estate career some 10 years ago and has extensive experience in residential sales, rentals and land subdivision. An experienced property management professional, he was attracted to Harrington Earl by our strong branding and emphasis on customer service. Leye offers his clients an excellent understanding of the intricacies of the property management process, is superbly organised and stays on top of every situation ensuring the best outcomes are always obtained for landlords and tenants alike. An excellent communicator, he maintains strong relationships with clients delivering astute, straight forward advice and enjoys being part of a forward thinking property management team continually working to enhance Harrington Earl’s reputation as an industry leader. Outside of work Leye is a passionate Essendon supporter and looks forward to renewed success for the Bombers in the near future.

With a passion to succeed in the real estate industry, Nic has developed an extensive local knowledge after originally moving to Melbourne’s vibrant inner north from Canberra. Possessing a great talent for lateral thinking and conviction for peerless customer service, he was attracted to Harrington Earl Estate Agents after commencing his career with another local agency by the opportunity to become an integral part of our agency’s success and uphold our high ethical standards. With life and career experiences well beyond the average property manager, Laurel offers Harrington Earl clients clear, concise and logical advice relating to the professional management of their investment property. The trust and respect of her clients is of paramount importance and Laurel goes that extra mile to ensure their best interest is diligently protected. Having worked for large corporate entities both in Australia and the UK, Laurel is acutely aware of the importance of communication with her clients and can offer a wealth of knowledge relating to renovating their investment property if the need arises. With a healthy interest in feng shui, jazz and yoga Laurel has plenty to do outside of work hours including her passionate support of the mighty Geelong Football Club.

Having had a successful marketing company before the birth of her children and being the patient partner of Steve Earl for over 22 years, Michelle has never been too far away from real estate having been Steve’s ‘sounding post’ for as long as she can remember. At the beckoning of Steve, Michelle re- entered the workforce in mid 2006 and has proved to be a vital member of the Harrington Earl team. Friendly, hard working and with a flair for numbers, Michelle has revelled in the responsibility of handling the Tenancy Trust Accounts on behalf of the company. Michelle ensures that the monthly statement is prepared in accordance with our client’s instructions and that financial reports are prepared promptly in July so that each client can attend to their taxation obligation in their own time. You’ll most likely see Michelle ferrying the children between sporting commitments, working away at Hurl’s Gym on the treadmill or dining with her husband Steve at their favourite local eatery.

Currently combining maternity leave with some part time work at our office, Hayley commenced with Harrington Earl in January 2004 in a receptionist’s role and worked her way through the ‘ranks’ to become an integral part of the Harrington Earl team. Her infectious enthusiasm for customer service and devotion to her landlords and tenants make her a distinct favourite among clients. Always prepared to do that little bit extra to ensure her client’s satisfaction and extremely thourough with her tenancy documentation, Hayley is one of the premier Property Mangers in Melbourne which proves that loyalty, dedication and hard work certainly reap great rewards and Harrington Earl is very proud of her achievements. Hayley is a keen equestrian although that has been put on the backburner with her young son Cooper now taking up the majority of her time.

Spending her teenage years working in the family cafe you know Blair is no stranger to hard work and long hours, a work ethic that has seen her excel in the property management field since commencing her career in February 2009. Since joining Harrington Earl in October 2011 we have been extremely impressed with Blair’s simple, no nonsense approach to managing her client’s investment properties and believe her friendly demeanor will make her a favourite amongst landlords and tenants alike. Superbly organised and an excellent communicator Blair stays on top of every situation and ensures the best outcomes are obtained for all parties. She maintains strong relationships with her clients by delivering astute, straight forward advice. Outside of work Blair is a keen basketballer with a strong competitive spirit and also enjoys mixed martial arts.

Commencing her real estate career in 1990 as a receptionist at a well respected Eltham estate agency Kylie quickly developed a passion for all things property and enjoyed an 11 year role with that agency establishing herself as a respected senior property manager. An exciting opportunity then presented itself to Kylie and she found herself in Central London leasing ‘blue chip’ residential freehold and relocating corporate tenants which she enjoyed immensely however lure of family and friends proved too strong. Shortly after her return to Melbourne Kylie and her husband were blessed with the news of a pending ‘arrival’ and devoted her time to the raising of a family (Lola being first born with Charlie not too far behind!) and the administrative duties of her husband’s building company. With the kids starting primary school Kylie was yearning to re-enter the property management field and approached Harrington Earl about the possibility of joining our well respected company... Well that was early November 2011 and Kylie is proving herself to be an asset to our company confirming the old adage ‘Just like riding a bike’ is very true indeed.

Relatively new to the industry, Antony commenced his real estate career in 2011 with Harrington Earl and has excelled with strong communication skills and will to succeed. After completing his secondary school education Antony entered the family wine business where he quickly developed strong administration & interpersonal skills that will see him excel in his property management role. Proud to be part of an effective, hard-working team, Antony looks forward to building upon Harrington Earl’s record of excellence and honing his skills to succeed in the daily challenges property management presents. Antony plays football at the Fitzroy Football Club and hopes to establish himself in the senior side this year with aspiration of a premiership!

Having recently made the huge step of moving from Scotland to Melbourne to join her partner Simon, Harrington Earl was extremely fortunate to secure Nikki’s services as our receptionist & marketing co-ordinator. Nikki brings with her a wealth of experience from the UK with 8 years servicing pensions (Superannuation as we know it) in both the private and government sectors. With a keen eye for detail and administration skills second to none Nikki has proved to be a wonderful addition and offers an outstanding customer service experience to all she deals with. Outside of work Nikki enjoys reading, exploring the stunning city that is Melbourne and spending time with her & Simon’s family and friends.
