Steve’s unwavering passion is to provide his clients with the very best result and ensure their complete satisfaction. His straightforward demeanour and no nonsense approach has made him a favourite with his clients who trust and respect his opinion.
A person of great commitment and passion Steve lives in North Fitzroy and is strongly involved in Rotary, the Fitzroy Football Club and the Fitzroy Bowling Club. With 2 sports mad children you may also see Steve in the Edinburgh Gardens having a vigorous kick of the football with Lochie (Lachlan) or shooting a few hoops with Melissa.
John founded Harrington Earl with Steve Earl in 1999 with the intention of creating a medium sized boutique agency attuned to their clients needs. A smart corporate image was established and later refreshed in late 2013 which offered a fresh brand, creative ideas and a personal service second to none. Being without the constraints of a franchise John has been able to follow his own path producing a string of outstanding results and winning customers with a peerless level of service.
Having been in the real estate industry since 1985 his passion is obviously property, however, he manages to combine this with his other loves – family, friends, golf, classic cars and scuba diving to create a wonderfully balanced lifestyle.
Having had a successful marketing company before the birth of her children and being the patient partner of Steve Earl for over 30 years, Michelle has never been too far away from real estate having been Steve's 'sounding post' for as long as she can remember. At the beckoning of Steve, Michelle re-entered the workforce in mid 2006 and has proved to be a vital member of the Harrington Earl team. Friendly, hard working and with a flair for numbers, Michelle has revelled in the responsibility of handling the Tenancy Trust Accounts on behalf of the company. Michelle ensures that the monthly statement is prepared in accordance with our client's instructions and that financial reports are prepared promptly in July so that each client can attend to their taxation obligation in their own time.
You'll most likely see Michelle ferrying the children between sporting commitments, working away at Hurl's Gym on the treadmill or dining with her husband Steve at their favourite local eatery.
Kirby began the start of her successful career in the real estate industry in 2011 and has worked tirelessly to become the well respected and diligent property manager that she is today.
Kirbys warm, welcoming manner and energetic approach has earned her the respect of clients and colleagues alike continuing to provide first class service to all. Highly motivated, Kirby works tirelessly to ensure a positive result for all concerned and maintains an excellent working relationship with all throughout the trials and tribulations of renting. It’s often stated by her clients that due to her friendly and caring nature she’s easy to approach with any issue they might have and without a doubt they know it will be resolved in a timely and professional manner. Kirby is an asset to both landlords and tenants and an integral part of our office. Combine this with her outstanding communication skills it’s no surprise that she is thriving in her career.
In her spare time Kirby enjoys spending time with her family & friends and enjoying the odd social glass of wine… either colour!
After completing her Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and spending 5 years in that field principally. Cecilia then decided upon a career change and commenced working in residential property management in early 2012. Cecilia has certainly excelled with strong communication skills, a will to succeed and a work ethic that has seen her become an integral part of our team. Proud to be part of this effective, hard-working team, Cecilia looks forward to building upon Harrington Earl’s record of excellence and honing her skills to succeed in the daily challenges that property management presents.

James commenced his real estate career in 2009 and has extensive experience in both residential rentals and sales. An experienced property management professional, he was attracted to Harrington Earl by our strong branding and emphasis on customer service. James offers his clients an excellent understanding of the intricacies of the property management process, is superbly organised and stays on top of every situation ensuring the best outcomes are always obtained for landlords and tenants alike. With a flair for constructing advertising copy James was an industry finalist in 2011/2012 for copy-writing and is a member of the Advertising Institute of Australasia.
Gemma commenced her real estate career in late 1999 honing her skills from receptionist through to senior portfolio manager. The time spent in plying her ‘trade’ has created an experienced property management professional with few peers in our industry. Gemma offers her clients an excellent understanding of the intricacies of the property management process, is superbly organised and stays on top of every situation ensuring the best outcomes are always obtained for landlords and tenants alike. An excellent communicator, she maintains strong relationships with clients delivering astute, straight forward advice and enjoys being part of a forward thinking property management team.
Outside of work you’ll often find Gemma walking her sizeable dog ‘Boston’ or enjoying a workout at boot camp.
A motivated and enthusiastic property manager who strives to provide the best possible service to everyone he deals with Brenton originally commenced with Harrington Earl a number of years ago after completing his secondary school studies. After 2 years learning his trade and with some travel on his mind Brenton left the industry but continued in customer focused roles in large retail outlets and wineries. The lure of returning to real estate however proved too strong and Brenton recommenced with the Harrington Earl team which proved advantageous to all concerned given his strong work ethic, loyalty and passion for the role.
Having grown up in a family that is actively involved in property, it was perhaps destiny that Elizabeth would ultimately find her way into the real estate industry at some point. After career forays in the banking, retail and textile fields Elizabeth is grasping the opportunity to be part of a successful property management team and is thriving within that environment. With a thirst to learn and question, Elizabeth offers a refreshing opinion on daily property management tasks but always places the best interests of her clients as a priority.
